Pinoy Medical Volunteer Lucky to Witness Hidilyn Diaz’s Triumph in the Olympics

Spin.ph reports: “All Marvin Delfin wanted was to fulfill his dream of being in the Olympics, so much so that he spent his own money to become a medical volunteer from the Philippines and be part of the XXXI Rio Games.

“He ended up witnessing a special piece of history.”

Swimmer Lacuna on Lessons Learned in the Olympics

It might have been an unsuccessful run for Pinoy Olympian swimmer Jessie Lacuna in Rio, but it was definitely a fruitful one just witnessing and learning from Phelps and Ledecky’s respective wins.

Golfer Tabuena Out of Medal Contention

Despite a strained shoulder, the 21-year-old Miguel Tabuena braved the competition, but ended up in 54th place after two rounds.

“We have two more days but anything can happen,” said the Philippine Open champion. “Hopefully, I can go out (and shoot low) tomorrow, that’s the only chance we can get a medal.”
